MUMBAI: As the Bombay High Court reopened on Monday for its first working day of the new year, the Maharashtra State Legal Services Authority, headed by Judge Amjad Sayed, as executive chairman, unveiled its timeline for 2022.
Judge Sayed, in the presence of Judge SS Shinde, Chairman of the Mumbai High Court Legal Services Committee and Judge PB Varale, unveiled the schedule which contains the list of special days and other common minimum programs to be conducted each months by the district legal services authorities. .
Each calendar month is dedicated to NALSA’s particular program to provide legal aid to poor and marginalized segments of society and victims of various crimes or disasters, the committee said.
Justices Sayed and Shinde on Monday appealed to all the chairmen and secretaries of the various district legal services authorities and the chairman of various Taluka legal services committees to ensure the successful implementation of all programs and the common minimum program. , by them. The aim is to serve the needy person and to make justice accessible through legal aid if necessary.
These calendars will be distributed among all the DLSA, TLSC, all the judicial officers and certain government services of the State for an effective implementation of the common minimum program planned by the MSLSA for this year.
