Conducting research on “aid, conflict and the valorization of women’s work” – occupied Palestinian territory

Oxfam is a global movement of people working together to end the injustice of poverty. It means tackling the inequalities that keep people poor. Together we save, protect and rebuild lives. When disaster strikes, we help people build better lives for themselves and others. We tackle issues such as land rights, climate change and discrimination against women. And we won’t stop until every person on the planet can enjoy a life free from poverty. We are an international confederation of 19 (affiliated) organizations working with partners and local communities in humanitarian, development and campaigning, in over 90 countries.

All of our work is guided by three core values: empowerment, accountability and inclusion. To learn more about our values, click on here

Oxfam in the Occupied Palestinian Territory (Opt) and regionally is part of Oxfam Great Britain’s (GB) strategy to ‘transform and value women’s work for a new solidarity economy’. Within five years, the strategy aims to address the global challenge of the undervaluing of women’s work and drive change across the entire work system. There is a gap in information relating to the allocation of aid to address specific social and economic issues, particularly in the areas of women’s economic justice and valuing women’s work. Oxfam seeks to understand past and present donor priorities and interventions when it comes to valuing women’s work and how this affects them.

Oxfam is seeking to commission a consultant/team to undertake exploratory research to help inform Oxfam’s work and advocacy on valuing women’s work. Services must be provided in accordance with the terms and requirements detailed in this RFP.
