Mangaluru: District Legal Service Authority reunites divorcing couple

Mangaluru, January 5: A couple who had been separated due to family issues since October 2021 were reunited due to the intervention of the District Legal Services Authority on Tuesday January 4, 2022. Narayan (48) (name changed) and Sarala (46) (name changed) are the separated couple reunited again by the efforts of authority. Both are residents of Marakada in the city. They had decided to go their separate ways because of some differences between them.

Narayan did B Pharma and ran a pharmacy. His wife Sarala graduated from BAMS and had a clinic next to her store. Sarala had kept her earnings in term deposits on behalf of their children. However, due to serious problems in their family, the couple broke up. Sarala went to Siddapura in Udupi and lived there with her children. She later filed an appeal with the District Legal Services Authority asking for alimony.

The authority held four counseling sessions with the couple. These sessions guide them to live a happy life together. Finally, the authority’s efforts paid off, and the couple reunited on their wedding anniversary, Jan.4.

Chief District and Sessions Court Judge Muralidhar Pai B and also Authority Chairman and Senior Civil Judge Prithviraj Varnekar held separate counseling sessions with the couple and managed to reunite the couple within a very short timeframe. short.

The happy couple praised the efforts of the Legal Services Authority. From now on, they advise other couples in difficulty to seek the intervention of the authority for a lasting married life.
