Organized legal awareness camp: The Tribune India

A Legal Awareness Camp was organized by the District Legal Services Authority in conjunction with the District Administration at Bhai Kahan Singh Nabha Main Secondary School, Nabha.

The camp was organized under the leadership of Tejinder Singh Dhindsa, Judge, Punjab and Haryana High Court-cum-Executive Chairman, Punjab State Legal Services Authority, SAS Nagar and Tarsem Mangla, District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Patiala.

During the camp, various administration departments, including the Department of Health, the Department of Revenue, the Department of Rural Development and Panchayat, the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment and Minorities, and the Department of Agriculture, had set up their stalls to sensitize the general public including Anganwari workers, teachers, students and school staff on the various welfare programs run by the state government as well as the Center for Agriculture improvement of the socially and economically backward strata of society.

A booth was also set up by the District Legal Services Authority, to publicize the legal assistance provided to the weaker sections of society as well as prisoners lost in jails.

The camp was attended by Kannu Garg, Subdivision Magistrate, Nabha, who was the main organizer of the event on behalf of the District Administration, Patiala.
